Tapping: Tapping on specific acupuncture points is done to repair the disruptions at more subtle energetic acupuncture points that result from emotional traumas and deep conflicts. Although the roots of tapping go back two thousand years in Chinese medicine, tapping as we know it today comes from the work of Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy (TFT). This was then followed by Gary Craig’s Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and then by Dietrich Klinghardt, MD’s Mental Field Therapy (MFT). Tapping specifically repairs energetic tears in the meridians that occur because of our negative beliefs and thoughts, which exert a powerful effect on our electromagnetic fields and our biochemistry. Tapping specific energy meridian points on the body begins the process of disengaging from negative, destructive emotional and thought patterns that weaken our energy, and restoring life-affirming connections. A special application of tapping includes tapping while taking a medication,
vitamin, or herb. This helps the body welcome the substance and metabolize
it properly, and prevents the body from developing an allergy to it. Tapping
can also help desensitize the body to substances that cause an allergic
reaction. Holding a hand over an organ area, tooth, or other body part
while tapping can reestablish normal energy flow through the area. Tapping
can help ease aches and pain. |
