CounselingClarity Counseling Clarity Counseling is the term I have given to a type of therapy I offer that is results oriented, may be accomplished in a visit or two and has had excellent results in the years that I have been offering it. There are three steps. First, we identify and clarify the issue that has created the need for exploration. Then we discuss ways to be clear, both in communication and in actions that will correct the situation. Finally, the action is taken that brings you back into integrity. Color Therapy Every color connects to an organ in our body and a set of psycho-emotional issues. Light stimulation of the optic nerve sends information to the hypothalamus, which is the master regulator of our physical and emotional well-being. Color helps to bring up the psycho-emotional issues which created our discomforts and provides the bridge to defuse the charge around our issues. Ancestor Psychology What one generation leaves unresolved, the next generation innocently and unconsciously tries to solve, by becoming entangled in issues that are not truly its responsibility. By exploring the deep bonds of love that bind us to one another, we observe how it is possible to “take on” the anxieties, depressions and even illnesses that belong to our parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles. Ancestor psychology, based on Hellinger Family Constellation work, offers us the opportunity to identify and untangle ourselves from these unconscious obligations that may be at the very source of our suffering, restoring the flow of love in one’s family. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Unwind and desensitize traumatic memories quickly and fully. Through the process of EMDR, trauma memories become desensitized, processed and integrated in a way that creates meaning. Traumatic memories are left behind and we move on. Mental Field Therapy (Tapping) Tapping on specific acupuncture points is done to repair the disruptions at more subtle energetic acupuncture points that result from emotional traumas and deep conflicts. Although the roots of tapping go back two thousand years in Chinese medicine, tapping as we know it today comes from the work of Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy (TFT). This was then followed by Gary Craig’s Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and then by Dietrich Klinghardt, MD’s Mental Field Therapy (MFT). Tapping specifically repairs energetic tears in the meridians that occur because of our negative beliefs and thoughts, which exert a powerful effect on our electromagnetic fields and our biochemistry. Tapping specific energy meridian points on the body begins the process of disengaging from negative, destructive emotional and thought patterns that weaken our energy, and restoring life-affirming connections. A special application of tapping includes tapping while taking a medication, vitamin, or herb. This helps the body welcome the substance and metabolize it properly, and prevents the body from developing an allergy to it. Tapping can also help desensitize the body to substances that cause an allergic reaction. Holding a hand over an organ area, tooth, or other body part while tapping can reestablish normal energy flow through the area. Tapping can help ease aches and pain. Reichian Mind/Body Therapy The body, as well as our emotions and our thoughts, holds memories. Frozen body patterns are brought to awareness and allowed to find a natural release. Frozen feelings are encouraged and expressed. As the physical and emotional components are released, thoughts begin to change. This is a cyclical process. As thoughts change, there is also change emotionally and physically. Ultimately, our options expand to make healthy choices with intention and clarity. Guided Imagery, Active Imagination Dreams and imagination help to enrich and empower our lives. Imagination is the language of the soul. Learn how to let the soul instruct us in our choices and in our purpose for being. Psychodrama An action-oriented approach to letting go of the past, dealing with the present, and rehearsing for the future. We role-play to practice making positive choices in a safe setting. In the process, we gain empathy and compassion for ourselves and for those who have significance in our lives. Through psychodrama, we can penetrate the core of emotional blocks and transform limiting beliefs. Psychodrama brings unconscious behaviors to consciousness quickly, giving us more options for healthy choices. Conscious Breathwork The deeper our breath, the more we focus our attention and bring us into present awareness so that it is easier to let go of patterns that no longer serve us and find the joy in life. Uncover patterns of breathing that keep us stuck and learn how to let your breath flow freely. Transpersonal Therapy Find the sacred and the gifts in daily, ordinary life. Learn to live life with intention, clarity and purpose. Learn how to celebrate significant moments in our lives. |
